Get SAFE Update — Goliathon: What’s New Today

4 June 2026

When someone affected by financial exploitation starts trying to make sense of their case, they are often carrying years of documents, unanswered questions, conflicting explanations, and a growing feeling that everyone else understands the system better than they do.

Goliathon exists to help change that.

Its purpose is simple: help people organise evidence, understand what it says, and identify what still needs to be answered.

Today we have introduced two important improvements.

Evidence First. Interpretation Second.

One of the biggest challenges in any case is separating what a document actually says from what we think it means.

Until now, Goliathon highlighted concerns and observations together. While useful, that sometimes blurred the line between evidence and interpretation.

From today, every evidence item includes two clearly labelled sections:

What This Shows

Only the facts contained within the document itself.

Names.

Dates.

Amounts.

Statements made by the parties.

No assumptions. No conclusions.

Why It Matters

A separate section explaining how that evidence may relate to the wider case.

This is clearly identified as analysis rather than fact.

For example:

What This Shows

Example, Barclays stated on 15 December 2020 that it was “unable to explore any plans or arrangements” until the mortgage matured.

Why It Matters

This may be relevant if the customer was actively seeking ways to reduce or repay borrowing before maturity.

The distinction is important.

A judge, ombudsman, regulator, solicitor, or investigator will always separate evidence from interpretation.

Now Goliathon does too.

New: Key Questions in This Case

Every dossier now includes a new section called:

Key Questions in This Case

These are the unresolved questions emerging from the evidence you have provided.

They are not legal arguments.

They are not conclusions.

They are the questions that still need answers.

Examples might include:

  • Who authorised this borrowing?
  • Where is the supporting documentation?
  • How was this balance calculated?
  • Why were these charges applied?

These questions update automatically as new evidence is added.

The goal is to help you focus on what matters most rather than becoming overwhelmed by everything that happened.

Why This Matters

Goliathon is a pre-legal tool.

Its role is not to argue your case.

Its role is to help you understand your case.

That means helping you:

  • organise evidence
  • identify facts
  • separate evidence from opinion
  • spot gaps in information
  • understand what questions still need answers

Whether you eventually speak to a solicitor, ombudsman, regulator, support worker, journalist, or advocate, the quality of that conversation depends on how clearly you understand your own evidence first.

These latest improvements move Goliathon closer to that goal.

Because informed action begins with understanding.

And understanding begins with evidence.
