Every tool humanity has ever invented has been double-edged.
The printing press empowered ordinary people to read scripture and radical pamphlets — but it was also used to spread propaganda.
The internet gave rise to grassroots organising — but also mass surveillance.
And now, in our generation, the tool in question is AI.
The Concern: Whose AI Are We Using?
As citizen investigators, we must be honest with ourselves.
Most AI today is built, funded, and controlled by the very institutions we often challenge — corporations, governments, and financial powerhouses.
That means:
- Platforms can censor or silence uncomfortable truths.
- Access can be restricted through paywalls, licensing, or “safety filters.”
- Training data reflects establishment priorities, leaving blind spots around injustice.
If we rely uncritically on the system’s machines, we risk walking into a trap.
Put bluntly: the master’s house is unlikely to fund the tools that will dismantle it.
The Reassurance: AI Is Not Monolithic
But here’s the hope: AI is not one single fortress.
It’s a plurality — open-source models, community-led projects, grassroots tools.
Once knowledge exists, it cannot be un-invented.
Just as David did not wear Saul’s armour, we don’t need to rely only on the system’s machines. We have our own sling — Goliathon.
The Goliathon Approach
Goliathon is about putting AI into citizen hands.
It is not a centralised platform owned by one institution, but a distributed method anyone can learn and apply.
- Citizen-owned AI: We use open tools and transparent methods, not proprietary black boxes.
- Distributed power: A thousand investigators working in parallel cannot all be silenced.
- Resilience: If one tool is restricted, our playbooks and methods can be ported elsewhere.
- Transparency: Our prompts, workflows, and outputs are open to peer review — no hidden agenda.
In this way, sabotage by profit-driven or power-driven actors becomes temporary at best.
What We Must Do
For justice to prevail, we must:
- Stay one step ahead. Learn to use multiple AI tools and keep backups.
- Think decentralised. Never rely on a single platform or vendor.
- Build resilience. Share methods openly so knowledge spreads faster than suppression.
- Guard against distortion. Remember AI mirrors human data — it reflects both truth and bias.
- Anchor in values. AI has no awareness; it is only as just, fair, and awake as those who wield it.
The Deeper Truth
Yes, the system will try to sabotage. They always do. But once people know how to use AI for justice, that knowledge cannot be revoked.
When wielded with conscience, AI is not the master’s tool. It becomes our sling — a simple but powerful weapon in the hands of citizen investigators.
We do not place our faith in AI alone. We place it in our collective resilience, integrity, and courage. With those, no system of exploitation can stand forever.
🔹 Message to Get SAFE participants:
Do not be afraid of sabotage. Do not be paralysed by doubt.
AI will not save us on its own — but in our hands, guided by justice, it will help us build bridges, expose lies, and hold power to account.
That is the promise of Goliathon. And together, we will see it through.
Test the Goliathon yourself.

About Get SAFE
Get SAFE (Support After Financial Exploitation) was born from a simple truth: too many victims of financial abuse are left to suffer in silence.
We exist for people like Ian—for the ones who did everything right, only to be failed by the systems they trusted. We know that behind every vanished pension, every ignored complaint, and every stonewalled letter is a person—frightened, exhausted, and too often alone.
Get SAFE offers more than sympathy. We offer structure, support, and solidarity.
We provide a voice where there’s been silence, and clarity where there’s been confusion.
We stand beside those who have been exploited, not just to help them recover—but to help them reclaim their story and rebuild their future.
Because financial justice is not a luxury.
It’s a human right.
If you or someone you know has been affected by financial exploitation, we are here.
You are not alone.
