For the regulators who were meant to serve the people—and now serve the City.
They say it’s about growth. They say it’s about investment. They say it’s about helping the UK “compete.”
But here’s the truth they won’t say out loud:
It’s about control.
It’s about profit.
And it’s about keeping you in your place.
This week, the government issued a “strategic steer” to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Sounds harmless, doesn’t it? Just a friendly nudge from Westminster to an “independent” regulator. A bit of guidance. Nothing more.
But dig deeper. Look at the language:
- Prioritise pro-growth and pro-investment interventions.
- Focus on harms that affect UK businesses.
- Support industrial strategy in 8 key sectors.
Translation?
Shift the regulator’s focus from consumer protection to corporate convenience.
This isn’t independence. It’s infiltration.
The Watchdog Becomes a Lapdog
The CMA exists to protect you. The consumer. The worker. The citizen. It’s meant to stop monopolies, price gouging, and unfair market dominance.
But under the banner of “growth,” it’s being turned into a tool of the elite.
Take the veterinary investigation. It took two years. It exposed systemic overcharging, market concentration, and corporate mergers that harmed pet owners and practitioners alike. That’s what the CMA should be doing.
But instead of learning from it, the government now wants the CMA to avoid such “disruptions” in future—to keep things smooth for investors. Because “price controls reduce supply,” they say. Because protecting consumers is a “poor outcome,” they say.
Let that sink in: a government that sees regulation as the problem, and exploitation as the solution.
Who’s Writing the Rules?
This steer wasn’t written by ordinary people. It wasn’t written by small business owners or struggling families. It was written by and for those with stakes in hedge funds, tech monopolies, and offshore tax havens.
The same City elite who want you docile, compliant, and distracted.
They sell you a fantasy of trickle-down growth while hoarding the gains for themselves. And now they want to bend the regulators to ensure no one gets in their way.
This isn’t just policy drift. It’s regulatory capture in real time. A quiet coup, cloaked in Whitehall prose.
But Here’s the Good News
You’re waking up. You’re starting to see the pattern.
Regulators meant to protect you? Captured.
Politicians meant to serve you? Bought.
Advisers meant to help you? Selling you out.
And now? You’re done playing their game.
You’re not a pawn. You’re not a consumer unit. You’re a human being with power, agency, and purpose.
You don’t need permission to live free. You need a plan.
That’s what we build at the Academy. Not just a financial plan, but a GAME Plan—a roadmap for life on your terms. Rooted in truth. Aligned to purpose. Driven by values, not vultures.
So What Now?
Ask yourself:
- Who benefits when regulators “go soft”?
- Who profits when watchdogs are muzzled?
- And what happens if we do nothing?
This is your line in the sand.
Call out the capture.
Refuse to be groomed by growth agendas.
Stand for fairness, dignity, and real protection.
Because this isn’t just about money. It’s about freedom.
