Uncovering Hidden Blocks: The Theory of MAP and a Holistic Approach to Purpose

At the Academy of Life Planning we believe that true financial and life-well-being isn’t confined to spreadsheets or market forecasts. It reaches deep into the landscape of the mind, body and spirit. The MAP Method™ offers an intriguing bridge between neuropsychology, soul-wisdom and the task of manifesting your purpose.

Here’s how we understand it — through three lenses: the inner model of MAP; our integrative philosophy (neuro + mystical); and a practical tool for clients: the Superconscious Prayer Template.

1. MAP’s Inner Model

The MAP Method describes a layered architecture of human consciousness:

  • The subconscious: stores early-life patterns, implicit memory, emotional imprints. According to MAP, trauma or blocks formed during “imprint years” (before verbal memory) reside here.
  • The conscious mind: our active awareness, thinking, decision-making. Yet when early blocks are active, the conscious mind may struggle to intervene.
  • The superconscious: a higher-order intelligence — described by MAP as the soul, or universal self — which has access to what the subconscious may hide and can issue corrective “instructions”.

In MAP’s narrative: when early trauma or limiting beliefs have carved circuits in the subconscious, your conscious intention alone often stalls. The superconscious intervenes — through structure, suggestion and intention-shift — to reorganise those hidden patterns. The white paper from MAP outlines how trauma affects brain structures (right-brain activation, left-brain shutdown, brainstem hyper-arousal) and argues that a method must address all these to restore integration.

Thus the “inner model” is: subconscious patterns → conscious struggle → superconscious re-alignment = release, transformation, forward movement.

2. Integrating MAP with AoLP’s Holistic Philosophy

At the Academy of Life Planning we blend three domains: the neuropsychological, the spiritual, and the practical. Here’s how MAP aligns and expands our frame:

  • Neuropsychological: We recognise that earlylife experiences (even when unremembered) shape behaviour, belief-systems and responses to transition or financial stress. MAP’s model echoes mainstream trauma-neuroscience in identifying how brain connectivity and memory systems become impacted.
  • Mystical / contemplative: MAP’s superconscious concept resonates with ancient wisdom — the Sanskrit Atman, the Kabbalistic Kether, Buddhist “Buddha-nature” or tathāgatagarbha. It reminds us that beyond conditioned patterns lies a radiant field of self-knowing. At AoLP we see purpose not just as a career goal but as an expression of “who you are” in the world — and these deeper layers matter.
  • Practical / actionable: The MAP framing gives us a language for barriers (subconscious blocks) and leverages (superconscious alignment) in the GAME Plan’s Blockbuster ROADMAP of Actions. In effect: If your Purpose Statement from Creation is in place, the question becomes: What could possibly stop you manifesting it? MAP gives one way to map those stoppages and clear them.

Here’s a simple alignment table:

DomainAoLP LanguageMAP Parallel
Purpose / GoalsConscious intention (GAME → Goals)Superconscious invocation
Habits / MeansSubconscious patterns, memoriesSubconscious blocks
Action / ExecutionDirected energy through structureConscious awareness + corrective instruction

By combining neuroscience, mystical insight and practical structure, we empower clients to move beyond “just financial planning” to a whole-life liberation.

3. Introducing the Superconscious Prayer Template

As part of our Actions phase in the Blockbuster ROADMAP, we offer a structured ritual: the Superconscious Prayer Template (see below). It is designed to be accessible, safe, and non-clinical, and helps clients invoke alignment even when the specific blockage is hidden.

Facilitator Version

Purpose: Aid clients in dissolving unseen obstacles preventing fulfilment of their purpose.

  1. Preparation: Grounding, breathing, invitation to all levels of awareness (conscious, subconscious, superconscious).
  2. Declaration of Unity: A statement the client repeats: “I call upon all parts of my being — conscious, subconscious, and superconscious — to unite in harmony for my highest good.”
  3. Directive Prayer (aligned with GAME):
    • Goal (Intention) — “May any imprint or memory… that blocks my divine purpose now come into awareness of the Light.”
    • Action — “I invite my Higher Self… to communicate directly with my subconscious foundation…”
    • Means — “Without needing to know how, I allow these patterns to be transformed in perfect order and timing.”
    • Execution — “I now embody peace, clarity, and freedom to manifest my purpose fully in this world.”
  4. Integration & Grounding: Encourage breath, movement, affirmation, brief journaling.

Client Self-Practice Version

I call upon all levels of my being — conscious, subconscious, and superconscious — to unite in harmony for my highest good.

May all imprints and beliefs, known or unknown, that restrict the fulfilment of my purpose be lifted into the light of understanding.

I invite my Higher Self to speak directly to my subconscious, correcting every false perception and restoring divine truth.

I release the need to know how this healing occurs; I trust the wisdom within to act now in perfect order.

I give thanks that peace, clarity, and right action now govern my thoughts, emotions, and deeds.

I am free to manifest my purpose. I live as one aligned with creation.

Optional visualisation: See light descending from Kether (above your head) through Tiphereth (heart) into Yesod (foundation/belly), anchoring in Malkuth (soles of the feet).

Afterwards: Journal your response, complete the prompt: “I now live as one who…” — then commit one Action consistent with your Purpose Statement.

4. Why This Matters for Financial Life Coaching

When we help clients design their financial lives, we often address budgets, investments, risk management, cash-flow, and value-alignment. But blocks in the subconscious will affect behaviour: avoidance, self-sabotage, fear of success, fear of failure. By offering a method like the one above, you deepen the toolkit:

  • You move from “What can I afford?” to “What am I allowed to receive?”
  • You shift from “How do I invest?” to “What is my expression and how do I live it?”
  • You invite clients into a state of being as well as doing — which enriches their resilience, authenticity and sense of enough.

5. Final Reflection

The MAP Method™ gives us a useful metaphor and method for addressing what hides below the surface. When integrated into AoLP’s holistic vision — combining intention, means and execution — it becomes a powerful complement to the self-directed journey of Planning My Life and the practitioner pathway of Financial Life Coach.

As you step into your next stage of action, ask: “What could possibly stop me from manifesting this purpose?” Then use the prayer template, layer in practical steps, and move forward with clarity, alignment and purpose.

🌿 SUPERCONSCIOUS PRAYER TEMPLATE

AoLP | Blockbuster ROADMAP of Actions

(Facilitator & Client Versions)

1. FACILITATOR GUIDE

Purpose:
To help clients dissolve unseen obstacles preventing the manifestation of their life purpose, by invoking alignment between the Conscious, Subconscious, and Superconscious minds — or in Kabbalistic terms, between Malkuth (manifestation), Yesod (foundation), and Kether (divine source).

Use:
During the “Actions” phase of the GAME Plan, once the Purpose Statement from Creation has been articulated. The facilitator helps the client identify where resistance or blockage appears, then guides them through the following process in a safe, non-clinical setting.

🜂 Step 1 — Preparation (Setting the Field)

Facilitator Prompt:
“Let’s begin by connecting all levels of awareness — your conscious mind, subconscious memories, and superconscious wisdom. Allow yourself to relax, breathe, and become present.”

Invite the client to rest both feet on the floor, breathe slowly, and focus on the heart centre.

(Kabbalistic parallel: grounding in Malkuth while opening the channel upward through Yesod toward Kether.)

🜁 Step 2 — Declaration of Unity

Facilitator Prompt:
“Repeat silently or aloud:
‘I call upon all parts of my being — conscious, subconscious, and superconscious — to unite in harmony for my highest good. I am safe, I am guided, I am whole.’”

(Purpose: establishes safety and permission; acknowledges tri-level consciousness.)

🜃 Step 3 — Superconscious Prayer (The Directive)

Now the facilitator introduces the fourfold sequence aligned with the GAME Plan:

GAME PhaseFunctionSample Prayer StatementKabbalistic Resonance
GoalDefine the desired correction“May any imprint or memory, from conception to childhood or beyond, that blocks my divine purpose now come into awareness of the Light.”Tiphereth (Heart / Truth)
ActionInvite the superconscious to act“I invite my Higher Self — my Kether — to communicate directly with my subconscious foundation (Yesod), to repair all misperceptions born of fear or separation.”Kether → Yesod flow
MeansRelease control; trust process“Without needing to know how, I allow these patterns to be transformed in perfect order and timing.”Binah / Chokmah (Understanding / Wisdom)
ExecutionGround in present life“I now embody peace, confidence, and freedom to manifest my purpose fully in this world.”Malkuth (Earth / Manifestation)

(Facilitator maintains a calm silence between each line, allowing the client to sense shifts or insights.)

🜄 Step 4 — Integration and Grounding

Invite the client to:

  • Take three conscious breaths.
  • Gently move hands or feet.
  • Speak one short affirmation: “I live now as one who is free to create.”

Encourage journaling of sensations or imagery that arose.
(Never probe for specific trauma details.)

2. CLIENT SELF-PRACTICE VERSION

🜂 The Practice of Alignment

Context:
This prayer helps dissolve unseen barriers that prevent your life purpose from manifesting. It is a gentle dialogue between your Higher Self (Superconscious / Kether), your Aware Mind (Conscious / Tiphereth), and your Memory Body (Subconscious / Yesod).

🜁 The Prayer

I call upon all levels of my being —
conscious, subconscious, and superconscious —
to unite in harmony for my highest good.

May all imprints and beliefs,
known or unknown, that restrict the fulfilment of my purpose
be lifted into the light of understanding.

I invite my Higher Self to speak directly to my subconscious,
correcting every false perception and restoring divine truth.

I release the need to know how this healing occurs;
I trust the wisdom within to act now in perfect order.

I give thanks that peace, clarity, and right action
now govern my thoughts, emotions, and deeds.

I am free to manifest my purpose.
I live as one aligned with creation.

(Sit quietly for a few moments, breathing gently. Feel the energy of release and renewal.)

🜃 Optional Kabbalistic Visualisation

  • See light descending from Kether (the crown above your head)
    through Tiphereth (your heart)
    into Yesod (your belly).
  • On the exhale, feel it anchoring in Malkuth (the soles of your feet),
    grounding purpose into action.

🜄 After-Practice Reflection

Write in your journal:

“I now live as one who…”
Complete the sentence freely. This becomes the next Action in your GAME Plan.

⚖️ Ethical reminder

This is a self-guided spiritual practice, not a therapeutic intervention.
If strong emotions arise, pause and seek support from a qualified trauma professional.
