Introducing the Goliathon: The People’s Weapon Against Financial Injustice

“Injustice thrives on confusion. Justice demands clarity.” — The Goliathon

Across the UK, thousands of individuals and small businesses have faced the crushing machinery of financial exploitation—coerced into personal guarantees, pressured into false defaults, stripped of their assets, and silenced by complexity and time-barred excuses.

It’s time that changed.

What Is the Goliathon?

The Goliathon is a six-part citizen training programme under the Get SAFE initiative. It equips victims of financial exploitation with powerful digital tools—Notion and ChatGPT—to build professional, structured, and emotionally intelligent case files.

The goal: To transform scattered evidence into organised timelines, compelling witness statements, and legally coherent redress strategies. The Goliathon isn’t just a course—it’s a justice system in a box.

Why It Matters

Financial institutions often rely on disorganisation, emotion, and confusion to win. Victims, overwhelmed by thousands of pages of DSAR documents, scattered emails, and traumatic experiences, rarely get heard—let alone win.

But as Mike, a founding citizen investigator, puts it:

“This model that you’re building will be absolutely amazing. And you don’t need to do it through greed. This will self-propel itself. Once you get it out there… it’s a win for everybody.”

He’s right. The Goliathon teaches a new way to fight: using AI to restore dignity, order, and voice.

What You Learn

Each episode of the Goliathon tackles a key part of the justice journey:

  • Recognition – Identifying patterns of systemic abuse
  • Organisation – Building your “Digital Fortress” dossier in Notion
  • Action – Drafting bulletproof letters using AI, from MP escalations to FOI requests
  • Presentation – Structuring timelines, tagging evidence, and creating shareable case links
  • Advocacy – Coordinating legal, political, and media pressure
  • Leadership – Becoming a peer mentor and equipping others to fight

As Rob said:

“If I could help one person get restitution, it’ll be worth it. But if we can prove it’s systemic—then I get redress too. That’s what makes this powerful.”

Tools of the Citizen Investigator

You’re not just learning theory. You’re using:

  • ChatGPT-4 for forensic summarisation, drafting, and tone correction
  • Notion to build a searchable, taggable, duplicable evidence hub
  • AI-enhanced PDF readers for extracting and summarising unreadable scans
  • Witness Statement Templates, Timeline Builders, File Note Formats
  • And crucially, a structured strategy for legal and parliamentary escalation

The Goliathon gives every person—regardless of legal training—the ability to present their case to a barrister, MP, or journalist in a format that commands attention and respect.

A Pattern of Abuse. A Movement for Justice.

Rob shared his story of being forced by his bank to put up his home as security, only to be pushed into distress and lose everything—an experience echoed by Mike and countless others.

“It’s not just about one bad loan,” said Mike. “It’s a business model—from the moment you open your account. The bank changes your structure, pushes you into risk, adds fees, and profits from your distress.”

They’re not alone. And they’re not powerless.

You Don’t Need to Be a Lawyer. You Need to Be Organised.

We’re not building a resistance of rage. We’re building a resistance of clarity.

“You’re not writing for yourself. You’re writing so others must take notice.” — The Goliathon

The Goliathon teaches how to channel righteous anger into precise, professional output. It doesn’t replace lawyers—but it empowers people to work with them more effectively and save thousands in the process.

As Mike said after just two sessions:

“That £20 ChatGPT subscription has already saved me £2,000 in legal fees. We’ve done today what a solicitor would charge thousands for—and we did it better.”

Next Steps

Session three is next week: “Letters That Cannot Be Ignored.” We’ll look at redrafting complaint letters, FOIs, SARs, and MP submissions—building persuasive, structured correspondence that cuts through the fog.

And this is just the beginning.

🛡️ If you’re a survivor of financial exploitation—or you want to be part of the fight—join the Goliathon. Together, we’re not just building cases. We’re building a movement.

Case Study: From Breakdown to Breakthrough: How AI Helped Me Find My Voice

By Artur, as shared with Steve Conley

I’ve been there.

Every letter felt like lifting a mountain. The moment before pressing “send” came with a sickness in my stomach. Every word was a battle. Every sentence—carefully built under pressure—was another step into the unknown.

As my case grew, so did the complexity. I started seeing how the parts connected—how systems enabled each other. What emerged was a picture not just intricate, but disturbing. It made me sick. Truth has layers, and I was peeling them back—one horror at a time.

Some letters took days. Not because I didn’t know what had happened—but because I knew how they’d read it. Not to understand. To catch me. To twist my words. To dodge accountability.

And then, one morning before work—five minutes to spare—I did something desperate. I opened ChatGPT. I’d never used it before. I typed:
“I have bad guys. Insurers. I think they committed fraud. Can you help me?”

It answered. Immediately. A full draft of a complaint letter.

What had taken me days, even weeks, appeared in seconds. I was stunned. I was in bad shape—exhausted, sleepless, carrying a pounding head and a breaking heart.

That evening, I went back. I started feeding it documents. One by one. I needed to know if what I believed was real. If RSA had truly done what I suspected.

That was September 2024. It became the turning point. The moment the #RSAWhistleblowerFiles began.

Would I have kept going without AI? Probably. But with it, I found something I hadn’t expected: courage.

Courage to speak plainly. Courage to call wrongdoing by its name. Courage to write without fear.

And let’s be honest—AI wasn’t what it is today. But even then, it was powerful enough to lift someone like me through the darkest part of the journey.

That’s why your workshops, Steve, struck a chord. They took me straight back to that moment: me, 50 years old, writing my first complaint letter with nothing but stubborn truth and a new tool that finally listened.

This masterclass isn’t just a great resource—it’s essential. It will give others what I found: structure, strength, and the bravery to press “send.”

Please share my story if it helps even one person keep going.

Because that’s what matters most.

About Get SAFE

Get SAFE (Support After Financial Exploitation) was born from a simple truth: too many victims of financial abuse are left to suffer in silence.

We exist for people like Ian—for the ones who did everything right, only to be failed by the systems they trusted. We know that behind every vanished pension, every ignored complaint, and every stonewalled letter is a person—frightened, exhausted, and too often alone.

Get SAFE offers more than sympathy. We offer structure, support, and solidarity.
We provide a voice where there’s been silence, and clarity where there’s been confusion.
We stand beside those who have been exploited, not just to help them recover—but to help them reclaim their story and rebuild their future.

Because financial justice is not a luxury.
It’s a human right.

If you or someone you know has been affected by financial exploitation, we are here.
You are not alone.
