đź”® When Aquarian Light Shines in a Piscean Hall of Mirrors: The FOS Scandal and the Accountability Deficit

“Those who have nothing to hide, hide nothing.”

When Aquarian values—transparency, collective accountability, and integrity—are brought into a Piscean system built on secrecy, hierarchy, and control, the reaction is often swift and brutal: you’re out.

The case of Abby Thomas, ousted CEO of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), is a textbook example.

Today’s Treasury Select Committee report confirms what many already suspected: Thomas was pushed out following “a collapse in confidence”—not because of poor performance, but because she challenged the system.

She reportedly clashed with the FOS Board over strategy, management, and operations. In short, she showed Aquarian energy—vision, reform, change. And for that, the Piscean gatekeepers pulled the trapdoor.

“Human beings interpret change in different ways—some through logic and evidence, others through intuition, cycles, and symbols. What follows may not resonate with everyone, but for many, the transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius offers a compelling lens to understand what’s unfolding in finance, politics, and society. Whether literal or metaphorical, it helps explain why the systems that once felt solid are now crumbling—and why new paradigms, grounded in transparency, empowerment, and collaboration, are taking shape.”

But the scandal doesn’t end there.

When questioned in Parliament about the dismissal, FOS chair Baroness Manzoor refused to answer. Her reason? As a member of the House of Lords, she claimed she didn’t have to explain herself to the Commons.

That, according to MPs, was “unnecessary and disrespectful.”

Committee chair Dame Meg Hillier didn’t mince words:

“The handling of this situation by the senior leadership of the Financial Ombudsman Service has been deeply disappointing… I hope this sends a clear message: members of the House of Commons will have answers… whether senior officials attempt to block them or not.”

The Piscean age gave rise to systems designed to obscure, delay, and deflect. Systems where unelected elites—Peers, Boards, Regulators—believe they are above the reach of ordinary people and even Parliament itself.

But we are in a new age now.

The Age of Aquarius demands accountability, truth, and decentralised power. It will not tolerate the continued shielding of institutional misconduct behind titles and technicalities.

This isn’t just a row about an Ombudsman’s CEO. It’s a symbolic moment in the cultural and generational shift taking place across public life—a battle between opacity and openness, control and collaboration, past and future.

One thing is clear: the old guard can no longer silence reform with silence.

About Get SAFE

Get SAFE (Support After Financial Exploitation) was born from a simple truth: too many victims of financial abuse are left to suffer in silence.

We exist for people like Ian—for the ones who did everything right, only to be failed by the systems they trusted. We know that behind every vanished pension, every ignored complaint, and every stonewalled letter is a person—frightened, exhausted, and too often alone.

Get SAFE offers more than sympathy. We offer structure, support, and solidarity.
We provide a voice where there’s been silence, and clarity where there’s been confusion.
We stand beside those who have been exploited, not just to help them recover—but to help them reclaim their story and rebuild their future.

Because financial justice is not a luxury.
It’s a human right.

If you or someone you know has been affected by financial exploitation, we are here.
You are not alone.
