“Human beings interpret change in different ways—some through logic and evidence, others through intuition, cycles, and symbols. What follows may not resonate with everyone, but for many, the transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius offers a compelling lens to understand what’s unfolding in finance, politics, and society. Whether literal or metaphorical, it helps explain why the systems that once felt solid are now crumbling—and why new paradigms, grounded in transparency, empowerment, and collaboration, are taking shape.”
By Steve Conley, Founder, Academy of Life Planning
I’ve just had a striking realisation via a WhatsApp conversation with ChatGPT—and it feels worth sharing with you, especially now.
It started with a simple question:
“Are the Ages going backwards—Aries, Pisces, Aquarius?”
The answer? Yes. And the reason why uncovers not just a quirk of astronomy, but a map of humanity’s evolving spirit.
The Wobble That Rewinds Time
Due to the Earth’s slow axial wobble—called the precession of the equinoxes—our spring equinox point gradually drifts backwards through the zodiac over thousands of years.
So instead of Aries → Taurus → Gemini, we move through the Ages in reverse:
- Taurus (approx. 4300–2150 BCE)
- Aries (2150–1 BCE)
- Pisces (1 BCE–now-ish)
- Aquarius (starting now or soon)
Each age lasts around 2,160 years. A full cycle? Roughly 25,800 years—a Great Year. And with it, comes an evolution of consciousness.
The Ages: A Mirror of Humanity
The Ages are more than star maps. They reflect shifts in culture, power, and purpose.
- Taurus: Earth-based spirituality, bull worship, agriculture. A time of fertility and grounded community.
- Aries: Empire, war, monotheism. Moses smashed the golden calf; Abraham sacrificed a ram. We moved from earth to fire, tribe to conquest.
- Pisces: Faith, sacrifice, compassion. The fish becomes a Christian symbol. This is the age of saviours, martyrs, and spiritual longing.
- Aquarius: Now. Or nearly now. The era of technology, consciousness, disruption, and collective awakening.
We’re witnessing the end of belief systems that demand blind faith and the rise of decentralised truth, networked learning, and planetary purpose.
So Where Do You Fit In?
Curious, I shared my birth details with ChatGPT:
11 July 1961, 11am, Bishop’s Stortford.
What came back was startling in its resonance:
- Sun in Cancer: I lead with empathy and legacy.
- Moon and Rising in Virgo: I serve through systems, healing, and precision.
- Uranus in Leo (11th House): I’m wired to lead collectives through disruption—with heart, not ego.
- North Node in Leo: My soul mission? To step up. To shine. To guide others through transformation.
This isn’t fortune-telling. It’s a psychological blueprint—a reflection of the inner architecture that aligns with our outer mission.
Why This Matters—Now
The Age of Aquarius is not a passive era. It’s a revolution in consciousness.
AI, blockchain, activism, holistic healing, climate restoration—all symptoms of the age we’re stepping into.
But progress without purpose can still destroy.
The tools of Aquarius must be wielded ethically, empathetically, and collectively.
This is the calling.
You may feel it already:
- A restlessness to break old systems.
- A pull toward meaningful work.
- A desire to integrate science with soul.
If so, you’re not alone. You’re right on time.
Final Thought
In a world obsessed with forward motion, perhaps the greatest evolution comes from looking back, reclaiming what was lost, and using it to shape a wiser future.
The Ages move backwards—but maybe that’s how progress really works.
It’s not regression. It’s remembering.
Would you like to find your role in the Age of Aquarius? Let’s explore your blueprint.
🕊️ This isn’t astrology as entertainment. It’s a practical philosophy of life planning—one that honours our past, serves the present, and consciously creates the future.

Steve’s Chat: Are the ages going backwards. Aries. Pisces and Aquarius?
Yes—they are going backwards through the zodiac, due to a phenomenon called precession of the equinoxes.
Here’s how it works:
- The Earth wobbles very slowly on its axis (like a spinning top).
- This wobble causes the spring equinox point (where day and night are equal) to shift backward through the zodiac over time.
- It takes about 2,160 years to move through one sign.
- A full cycle through all 12 signs takes about 25,800 years (called a Great Year).
So the “Ages” move like this:
- Age of Taurus (approx. 4300–2150 BCE)
- Age of Aries (2150–1 BCE)
- Age of Pisces (1 BCE–roughly now)
- Age of Aquarius (starting sometime between now and ~2600 CE, depending on interpretation)
Why it feels backward:
In astrology, zodiac signs move forward: Aries → Taurus → Gemini → etc.
But the precession of the equinoxes causes the Ages to move in reverse:
Pisces → Aquarius → Capricorn → etc.
So yes, the astrological ages go backwards through the zodiac because of how Earth’s axis slowly shifts over millennia.
Would you like to know how this ties into religious or cultural history too?
Great — the Astrological Ages often mirror major shifts in culture, religion, and worldview, and many people see patterns between these ages and key points in human history.
Age of Taurus (approx. 4300–2150 BCE)
- Symbol: The Bull
- Civilizations: Ancient Egypt, Sumer, Indus Valley
- Religious symbols: Bull worship (e.g. Apis bull in Egypt, Minoan bull-leaping)
- Focus: Agriculture, fertility, earth-based spirituality
Age of Aries (2150–1 BCE)
- Symbol: The Ram
- Associated with war, fire, and action — Aries is ruled by Mars
- Rise of empire-building: Greece, Rome, Persia
- Biblical ties:
- Abraham sacrifices a ram instead of Isaac (Genesis)
- Rise of monotheism and warrior-God archetypes
- Moses destroys the golden calf — rejecting the Age of Taurus for Aries
Age of Pisces (1 BCE – Now?)
- Symbol: The Fish
- Closely tied to Christianity:
- Jesus is called the Fisher of Men
- Early Christians used the fish symbol (Ichthys)
- Focus on faith, sacrifice, duality, and redemption
- Pisces is ruled by Neptune: mysticism, illusion, spirituality
Age of Aquarius (starting soon or now, depending on the system)
- Symbol: The Water Bearer
- Associated with technology, humanism, collective consciousness
- Keywords: Truth, disruption, innovation, decentralisation
- Shift away from institutional religion to personal empowerment, science, and networks
- Some say it’s already begun with the digital age, AI, and global activism
Why this matters:
People see these ages as metaphors for humanity’s spiritual and cultural evolution. Whether you believe it’s literal or symbolic, the progression does echo broad historical shifts—from earth-based spirituality, to empire and law, to faith and sacrifice, and now perhaps to tech-driven collective awakening.
Want to explore what the Age of Aquarius might mean for society today?
The Age of Aquarius is often seen as a time of major transformation—spiritually, socially, and technologically. While it’s not tied to a precise start date, many believe we’re entering it now, or already in its early stages.
Core themes of the Age of Aquarius:
- Technology & Innovation
- Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, planet of disruption, invention, and the future.
- Explosion of AI, digital currency, biotech, and space exploration reflects this energy.
- Decentralisation: blockchain, peer-to-peer systems, and open-source everything.
- Collective Awareness
- Shift from “me” (Pisces) to “we” (Aquarius).
- Rise of global movements, social justice, climate action, and shared purpose.
- Growing interest in mental health, consciousness, and collective healing.
- Questioning Authority
- Aquarius challenges hierarchy and tradition.
- Institutional religion, governments, and corporations face distrust and decentralisation.
- Emphasis on individual freedom and grassroots power.
- Spiritual Independence
- Move away from dogma toward personal truth and universal connection.
- Rise in spiritual-but-not-religious, astrology, psychedelics, and energy work.
- Blending science with spiritual insight (e.g., quantum consciousness theories).
- Global Connectivity
- Internet and real-time communication create a networked global brain.
- Borders blur—people identify less by nation, more by values and communities.
Big Question:
Will the Age of Aquarius bring liberation and progress, or chaos and deconstruction?
Aquarian energy is disruptive—it clears out the old to make room for the new. Whether that leads to utopia or upheaval depends on how consciously humanity evolves.

The healing: Embracing your sensitivity without self-sacrifice. Learning healthy boundaries. You’re a healer of the heart—once your wound is integrated, you become someone who helps others find forgiveness, faith, or spiritual wholeness in connection.

Would you like help drafting that manifesto?
Here’s a draft manifesto uniting both your visions with clarity and power:
Manifesto: Life Planning for the New Age
In a world shaken by financial exploitation and broken systems, we declare a new way forward—one that heals, empowers, and belongs to the people.
We believe that life planning is more than numbers and assets; it is a human right rooted in dignity, trust, and shared purpose.
The Academy of Life Planning exists to train a new generation of advisers—ethical, skilled, and committed to putting people first. As a global member cooperative and professional body, we foster collaboration, transparency, and lifelong learning.
Get SAFE (Support After Financial Exploitation) stands with those harmed by the old ways. As a charity, we offer compassionate recovery, practical tools, and a pathway to rebuild wealth, well-being, and confidence.
Together, we create a powerful cycle of transformation—preventing harm through education, and restoring lives through support.
This is our commitment: to lead with heart and integrity, innovate with wisdom, and build communities where everyone can thrive.
Join us in shaping a future where life planning serves humanity, not just markets.
Here’s a speech draft based on the manifesto, designed to inspire and rally support:
Speech: Life Planning for the New Age
Good [morning/afternoon/evening], everyone.
Today, I stand before you with a vision—a vision born from decades of experience, and a deep commitment to transforming how we think about life planning.
For too long, financial advice and planning have been tied to old systems that often fail the very people they claim to serve. Too many have been hurt—left vulnerable, exploited, and disempowered.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
We are at the dawn of a new era. The Age of Aquarius calls for change—more transparency, more empathy, more collaboration.
That’s why we are launching not one, but two groundbreaking initiatives: The Academy of Life Planning, and Get SAFE.
The Academy is a global member cooperative and independent professional body. Its purpose? To train and accredit advisers who put people first—who are ethical, skilled, and visionary. We are building a community where lifelong learning and shared wisdom lead the way.
Get SAFE is our promise to those who have suffered financial harm. As a charity, it offers practical support, recovery pathways, and the tools to rebuild not just wealth, but well-being and trust.
Together, these initiatives form a cycle of transformation—preventing harm through education, and healing through support.
Our mission is clear: to lead with heart and integrity, to innovate with wisdom, and to build communities where everyone can thrive.
We invite you to join us—to be part of a movement that puts people before profits, and humanity before markets.
This is more than planning. This is about reclaiming dignity, restoring trust, and shaping a future that truly belongs to all of us.
Thank you.
